4Refuel's Official Corporate Charity: BLUE WAVE

It's Time to See the Problems of Today's Children for What They Really Are
In today's fast paced, technology driven society nobody faces more versatile challenges on their own than our children, but the complexity of the problems they face are not always as black and white as they seem.
"More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza and chronic lung disease combined."
The BLUE WAVE Foundation understands that youth mental health issues like depression and anxiety can be too easily overlooked as " just growing up" or "learning the hard way" and is dedicated to educating youth who might be silently suffering from more than they can handle, youth who know someone that is suffering or concerned parents.
Dedicated to pointing troubled youth and concerned adults in the right direction via helplines and other resources and building awareness online through the helpful website, in schools through BLUE WAVE days, to community golf tournaments and live musical performances, this cause is making some serious waves in the community.
It's More Than our Duty to be Part of the Solution... It's our Purpose
At 4Refuel we are proud of our involvement with the BLUE WAVE Foundation, assisting them in their efforts to educate youth of all ages and parents by directing them to
useful resources
that make real challenges easier to deal with and strengthen the
message to our children that it is OK 2 B Blue.
We will continue to exercise our available resources in the progression of the foundation, support of the charitable events and efforts, and most importantly the future of the children in our communities.
As a title sponsor in the annual BLUE WAVE Charity Golf Tournament and the leading supporter for the awareness based BLUE WAVE Days, 4Refuel is making an effort to enhance the lives our children and show our strong values and morals in local communities.
We strongly encourage others to follow our lead in supporting charities that offer help close to home and for the people who might be too afraid to ask. Please visit them online to learn more, get involved, or make a donation
The BLUE WAVE website www.ok2bblue.com has been created as a media/portal where youth and parents can learn about the challenges surrounding mental health issues.
The site is also be a place of encouragement where youth can empathize with those in need, share their own stories and experiences, and view videos on a variety of topics such as:
- bullying
- eating disorders
- depression
- anxieties, etc.
For some, this is the first step they will take in building the courage to talk about their hardships, for others it's assurance that they are not the only person who feels the way they do.
